If, for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase We invite You to review our policy on refunds and returns.

Your Order Cancellation Rights

You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 7 days without giving any reason for doing so.

The deadline for cancelling an Order is 7 days from the date on which You received the Goods or on which a third party you have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the product delivered.

We will reimburse You no later than 14 days from the day on which We receive the returned Goods. We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.

Conditions for Returns

In order for the Goods to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

The Goods were purchased in the last 7 days

The Goods are in the original packaging and sealed

The Goods are in unused condition

You will need to provide your invoice for your purchased Goods

The following Goods cannot be returned:

The supply of Goods that are damaged or in non-working/original condition

The supply of Goods made to Your specifications or clearly personalized.

The supply of Goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned, deteriorate rapidly or where the date of expiry is over.

The supply of Goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.

The supply of Goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions in our sole discretion.

Only regular priced Goods may be refunded. Unfortunately, Goods on sale cannot be refunded unless otherwise stated by Us. This exclusion may not apply to You if it is not permitted by applicable law.

Returning Goods

The responsibility of returning the goods will be done by Us but the risk of returning the Goods to Us will not be accounted for by Us.

The full return delivery will be taken care of by Computer Biz ZA.

We cannot be held responsible for Goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured returned delivery, which is an option and please do advise to Us if you require this. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the Goods.

Gifts

If the Goods were marked as a gift when purchased and then shipped directly to you, You’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned product is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to You.

If the Goods weren’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the Order shipped to themselves to give it to You later, We will send the refund to the gift giver.

Return & Warranty Policy Marketplace / Used Items – Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD

This Return & Warranty Policy is provided in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) of South Africa and applies to all marketplace, used, refurbished, and second-hand products sold by Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD.

By purchasing from Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this policy.

1. CPA Implied Warranty

In terms of Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, consumers are entitled to an implied warranty of quality for a period of six (6) months from the date of delivery of goods.

Accordingly, marketplace, used, refurbished, and second-hand products sold by Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD carry a 6-month limited warranty, unless otherwise clearly stated at the time of purchase.

This warranty applies only where goods are found to be defective, unsafe, or not reasonably suitable for the purpose for which they are generally intended, as contemplated in Section 55 of the CPA.

2. Inspection Requirement for Warranty Claims

In order to process any return, repair, replacement, or refund request under the CPA, the product must be returned to Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD for inspection, testing, and verification.

No refund, replacement, or repair will be issued until the product has been:

Received by Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD

Inspected by our technical team

Assessed to determine whether the defect falls within the CPA implied warranty

Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD reserves the right to repair, replace, or refund the product at its discretion, as permitted by the CPA.

3. Supplier Rights Under the CPA

The CPA permits suppliers to decline returns where the defect or damage does not arise from a manufacturing or inherent fault.

Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD does not cover and may decline warranty claims where inspection determines that the issue falls within any circumstances where suppliers are permitted under the CPA to refuse a return or warranty claim.

These include, but are not limited to:

Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, or improper handling

Liquid damage, corrosion, or exposure to moisture

Electrical damage, including power surges or incorrect power supplies

Unauthorised repairs, modifications, or tampering

Physical damage, including cracked screens, broken ports, bent connectors, or impact damage

Software-related issues, viruses, or operating system corruption not caused by the supplied hardware

Damage resulting from incorrect installation, configuration, or operation

Normal wear and tear associated with used or second-hand goods

Situations where the consumer was informed of the defect prior to purchase

Faults caused by third-party accessories, peripherals, or components

Where any of the above conditions are identified, Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD reserves the right to decline the warranty claim in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.

4. Condition of Returned Goods

For a return or warranty claim to be considered, the following conditions must be met:

The product must be returned with valid proof of purchase

The original serial numbers and identifying labels must be intact

All included accessories, components, and packaging (where applicable) must accompany the return

The product must not show signs of tampering or unauthorized repair

Failure to meet these conditions may result in the return being declined.

5. Used / Second-Hand Product Disclaimer

Customers acknowledge that used, refurbished, and second-hand products may show reasonable cosmetic wear and usage marks.

Such cosmetic wear does not constitute a defect under the CPA and does not qualify for return or replacement unless it materially affects the functionality of the product and was not disclosed prior to sale.

6. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for returning products to Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD for inspection unless otherwise required by law.

Where a product is confirmed to have a valid warranty defect under the CPA, Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD may reimburse reasonable return shipping costs at its discretion.

If the claim is declined after inspection, the customer will be responsible for collection or return shipping costs.

7. Warranty Processing Time

Warranty inspections and processing may take up to 7–14 business days from the date the product is received.

More complex faults may require extended diagnostic time.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

Loss of data

Loss of business or productivity

Loss of profits

Software corruption or data recovery costs

Customers are responsible for backing up all data prior to returning any device.

9. Policy Updates

Computer Biz ZA (PTY) LTD reserves the right to amend or update this policy at any time, provided that such amendments remain compliant with the Consumer Protection Act.
